Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day but why?

Could you drive your car without petrol, no! Well don’t start your day without fuel because your body has been in fasting all night long and it’s important to break this fast for a healthy metabolism, this is where the word breakfast originated from, breaking fast!

Nutritionists will advise to eat breakfast within two hours of waking in the morning and make up about 25 – 30% of your daily calorie allowance.

Research shows those who eat a regular breakfast are less likely to be overweight, so if you are skipping breakfast and wonder why you are not losing maybe try one of my delicious breakfast toast ideas to get you started.

  2. Bacon, scrambled egg and grated cheese

  5. Avocado, sun-dried tomatoes and feta cheese
  6. Mango, palma ham and parmasan
  7. Nutella, raspberries and coconut flakes
  8. Avocado, chickpeas and Mexican hot sauce

Whether you have a sweet-tooth or prefer a savory option there is something for everyone here. Who said dieting had to be boring?
